The Women’s Congress Comes to Boston in March 2007 Event Leverages Cutting-Edge Technology, Provides Unmatched ROI for All Participants

BOSTON, July 25 /PRNewswire/ -- On March 29-30, 2007, the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center will host "The Women's Congress" (TWC) -- the first and only two-day business and lifestyle event in the country designed specifically for the most successful and influential women in the world today -- professional, active, educated and affluent women ranging in age from 35 to 60. TWC will be the first in a series of nationwide events offering today's most lucrative and underserved market -- women baby boomers and their slightly younger sisters -- with interactive, educational sessions and hundreds of products and services specifically targeted to professional women that will benefit their careers as well as their personal lives.

"Affluent boomer women are the marquee players in our country's culture and commerce. They are educated, have a high income, and make 95 percent of the purchase decisions for their households," said Karen Vogel, TWC co-founder and president of New Generation Event Solutions (NGES), the event producer. "These women are extremely busy and just don't have time to research everything they want or need for their businesses, their selves and their families. The Women's Congress offers them the opportunity to learn about a wide range of business, health and financial topics as well as unique products and services for their lives and businesses, in just one or two days."

Marketers are starting to focus more intently on women, but the majority of women still feel misunderstood by advertisers. TWC will be an asset to both parties, helping them to communicate correctly with one another. According to a new study released by American Business Media, seven out of ten executives surveyed purchase or recommend the purchase of  a product or service as a direct result of trade show advertising and promotions. The Women's Congress will be a critical component to any company trying to increase sales in their 2007 marketing plan.

"This event will help to bridge the gap between buyers and sellers by offering a unique experiential event that presents information in the way that women want to learn it," said Mary Wall-Straub, TWC co-founder and CEO of NGES. "This event will be the biggest test market to sell products and services to the most influential and powerful consumers in the world."

Several thousand business professionals are expected to attend from the state of Massachusetts as well as nearby cities throughout New England, including Providence and Newport, Rhode Island, Hartford and New Haven, Conn., Manchester, New Hampshire, and Portland, Maine.

"We want both our attendees and sponsors to get the most out of The Women's Congress. That is why we have deployed the latest event technology to help them connect with each other so that they can take full advantage of the educational opportunities, exhibits, presentations and hands-on technology workshops and several networking forums available on both days of the conference," said Vogel.

The conference program will consist of cutting-edge and practical educational content focused on various business careers, including entrepreneurs, small business owners, corporate executives, non-profit leaders and fundraising, and government. Sessions will also deal with topics including health, medical and financial issues that affect every woman and her family. The sessions will run in several concurrent tracks with several one-hour sessions each day. Each session will include a mix of panel discussions and high level speakers and will run parallel to exhibiting hours with several breaks throughout the day to visit the exhibits and see special presentations on the show floor.

"The Women's Congress is the place to be for all professional women in New England who want to learn more about how to advance their career, make a career change, and enrich their life," said Melanie Nayer, Founding Board member of TWC and editor of Lifetips.com, a website that attracts millions by publishing expert tips and savvy advice.

New Generation Event Solutions has enhanced TWC further by implementing customized cutting-edge technology that will improve the attendees' experience, capture valuable data for exhibitors, and provide the maximum return on investment for all participants. Some of these technologies include:

  • WomenConnect - An online "business networking" solution that matches each attendee's business and personal interests with other attendees, conferees, speakers and exhibitors. Attendees can connect and network with other attendees months before the event, plan for educational sessions they want to attend, and schedule appointments with exhibitors.
  • Virtual Marketing Center - A unique marketing and sales tool for companies to access webcasts and marketing presentations to help them effectively reach and sell to the women baby boomer and increase sales from the event.

TWC is currently accepting submissions for speakers, topics and panel discussions. Additionally, TWC is putting together a Founding Board and Advisory Board of influential women who will lend their expertise and ideas as the event is being planned. The Call for Speakers application and information about joining the boards is available online at http://www.thewomenscongress.com and may also be obtained by contacting Stephanie Reeve, Conference Manager, at sreeve@newgenerationes.com or 617-852-4096.
